There are over 13 million peri or post menopausal women in the UK. This research study into a new probiotic hopes to help them.

There are over 13 million peri or post menopausal women in the UK. This research study into a new probiotic hopes to help them.

This study is investigating the probiotic’s effect on menopausal symptoms and the quality of life for perimenopausal and postmenopausal women.

This study is hoping to help perimenopausal and postmenopausal women by examining how effective the study probiotic is at reducing the frequency and severity of menopausal symptoms like hot flashes and night sweats.

If you’re one of the UK’s 13 million peri/postmenopausal women, you could be eligible to take part in this study and potentially help others like you.

Who can participate in the trial?

If you are perimenopausal or postmenopausal and frequently experience symptoms such as hot flashes and night sweats, you could be eligible to take part.

What is the study process?

Participation in the study will involve taking the probiotic, or a placebo, once per day for 4 months and will involve around 5 visits to our clinic in Glasgow during that period. Participants on this study will need to be currently not taking hormone replacement therapy or oral contraceptives.

What can you expect as compensation?

Reimbursement for study related time and travel.
